Spiral conveyor

Product Introduction: Spiral conveyor is a new type of conveyor equipment designed for transporting special materials. Various powders, particles, and small pieces of material are professionally transferred horizontally or vertically through screws on the inner shaft. However, if the material has high viscosity or is prone to clogging inside the machine, it is not recommended to use this conveyor. Working principle of screw conveyor

When the screw rotates, due to the gravity of the material and its friction with the outer wall of the channel, the material can only move forward along the bottom of the conveyor channel under the action of the blades, similar to a non rotating nut moving forward along the rotating screw. The movement of materials in the intermediate bearing depends on the thrust of the material moving forward. Therefore, the material supply in the conveyor is entirely a sliding motion.

In order to place the spiral shaft in a more favorable stress state, the driving device and unloading hole are usually located at one end of the conveyor, with the inlet as close as possible to the tail of the other end of the conveyor. Rotating propeller blades move materials for transportation. The force that prevents the material from rotating together with the blades of the screw conveyor: the self weight of the material and the resistance of the friction material between the outer shell of the screw conveyor.

Leaves have different surface types depending on the material being transported, such as solid surfaces, strip surfaces, blade surfaces, etc. At the end of the material movement direction, the screw shaft of the screw conveyor is equipped with a thrust bearing to follow the material to the axial reaction force screw. In cases where the structural length is long, intermediate suspension bearings should be installed.
